Very nice. I always assumed they were the same species, just a different phenotype. Do they bloom at the same time as the white ones?
Beautiful red and white trilliums.
We have many white trilliums here in the mountains of east Tennessee, but red trillium are new to me. They are very beautiful.

Beautiful macro photos! Stunning flowers - ours our white, and when they get old they turn dark purple. I've never seen a red one!
That color is so rich and vibrant and my all time favorite flower. Thanks for sharing it with Today's Flowers. I've really enjoyed this post.
