Black Eyed Susans

One frosty morning, I noticed the seedheads of some black eyed susans.
I had never noticed the details before,

the architecture of the plant and the frost!

I stopped by from JC's blog Lilacs and Cats after I cracked up about reading your cat found in a tree. That is exactly where we found our Midnight. Freezing cold one morning, screaming at the top of her lungs at the top of a tall tree, last November. We couldn't find an owner and she was so sweet that she became our 3rd cat and 5th animal member of the family.

Wow, these are really awesome! Early winter frost is very impressive, especially when it's heavy like that.
