Daylily

I couldn't decide which of these three I liked best,
so I am asking for your opinions, please!

Lavender

The tiny blossoms of the lavender
 present a challenge for me,
but I keep working at it...

Friday's Fences

I know that field bindweed is supposed to grow in lawns,
but I guess no one told it that...

Skywatch Friday

Tansy is an invasive weed,
but I am fascinated with it, especially against the sky.

Rattlesnake Master

Another odd plant from the garden at the college,
this is a native American plant
able to withstand the harsh winters.

Field Bindweed

You know those tiny morning glories that bloom in the lawn?
The ones that are about an inch across?
They are called field bindweed, or Convoluvus arvensis.
The big ones that I have always known are hedge bindweed, or C. sepium.

Normal Chicory

I love this shade of blue!

Pink Chicory Blossoms

Beetles

I have no idea what sort of a plant this is,
but more than half the flowers
 were covered with these beetles.

Purple Vervain

These tiny blossoms come on stalks a couple of feet tall.
The longest clusters are maybe a couple of inches,
so you can guess how small each flower is...

Nasturtiums

I love the vibrant colours of nasturtiums,
and the shape of the flowers!
 All those little teeth
protecting the nectar and the pollen!

Skywatch Friday

There are a lot of smoke trees around the city.
They are odd looking trees,
and the flowers are hard to capture.
