Redwing and Cardinals

One of the redwing blackbirds was brave enough to let me get a couple of shots.

Teenaged Cardinal

Guess what appeared outside my window this morning? He is still growing in his red suit, but he is a cardinal, no doubt about that! If he had given me a bit of warning, I could have gone outside, or removed the screen...

Yesterday morning, there were two cardinals, singing in the trees at the end of the road. Spring will arrive!!

After the Rain

If you use your imagination, this is a male cardinal, singing his little heart out. They prefer the top branches of the trees.

The forsythia is starting to bloom, as are the violets in my yard.


Raindrops on the daffodils, and the swelling bud of the lilac bush.

More raindrops on the peony sprouts. I love the way the leaflets are starting to unfurl!
