Bess Bockstoce Peony

There are three peonies in bloom at the college, and Bess is one of them.

 I love the way the sun comes through her petals.

 

Double Peonies

At Algonquin College, there were only two peonies labeled as doubles. The darker one is Sam Donaldson,

and poor Bess Bockstoce was over and done with. The heat last week took a terrible toll on the peonies.
