I have gone back to the photos of my Dad's stuff which I took last year. I wonder whether I kept any of these old cigarette boxes...
He kept so many odds and ends in them.

i remember seeing fuses and bulbs like that in my dads junk "area"!!
he was quite the collector, much of what he saved, well, we have no idea what it even is!!!
I love coming across stuff like this! Love those old tins my parents' generation (but not my parents) kept all kinds of stuff because they'd lived through the Great Depression. Even I have a tendency to look at a cool new container and think it might come in handy... I make myself throw it away..

Awww...I know it's always so hard to let go when you know it was your Dad's.
Somethings are just hard to let go. Why, you really cannot say.
I have some of those on down on my work bench as we speak.
Oh the old tins, my husband has a lot in his 'man cave'. The kids may or may not enjoy cleaning it out one day :)

I love your photos and I did the same with my dad's stuff last year. And I hoarded (as he did) a lot of his stuff, which my husband calls rubbish. I too have lots of old tins and tools etc. I must photograph what i have here and join in the meme.

Our parents were such collectors! Partly the Great Depression, methinks.
