Feathers in the Ice

 
And then, there are the feathers 
 which are only partially caught in the ice.
 The exposed parts still gather frost crystals
 but also catch 
 the morning sun.

Oh you know feathers are my favourite. All your photos make me smile.

I got the chicken coop roof in the photo on my blog by just angling the camera up to the sky while on the ground underneath the peak of the roof, it seemed to work. I only have a little point and shoot but it works perfect for me. B
