The corn crops are ready; in fact, the eating corn is nearing the end of its run.
But this is field corn, grown to be used for purposes other than human consumption. it won't be harvested for weeks yet.

A few fields north of us have already been harvested. Like the blue sky over the field. Nice series of shots.
That is a delightful photo celebrating the end of summer, nothing like fresh picked corn this time of year.
I like these photos from the corn field
Nice shots - the power lines and cornfield is a great skywatch combination. There's nothing like really fresh corn at dinner!

These speak to my country girl heart Judy. :)
My Mom just brought me some corn today. Juicy hot corn with butter -I hate to see the season end.
Being a farmgirl I enjoyed your choice for this weeks skywatch
Hi Judy,
The Electric Sentinels, one needs the Energy they give to light-up the night and work things... but oh I so don't like being near them... their hum is so numbing.
Still, the photo is lovely, like the way they are hazy... almost not there.
The last photo of the Corn... like a painting... beautiful... and the Cob looks delicious.
Thanks, and good wishes from Magda in Australia
