I'm not really happy about any of these images, but they all have elements that I love - the shape of the ice at the base of the cattails, and the motion of the waves.

I have photos like that. Ones that I'm not happy with, but contain my favorite elements. Somehow they're still pleasing, even in our dissatisfaction. And as is often the case, you're probably your own worse critic. :)
They're all lovely and convey a gentle crispness, rather than harsh cold. I'm especially fond of the third one. I like how the stalks break up the scene, and I like the subtle coloring.

Fascinating to someone who doesn't see ice like that.

I like the thin crust of ice in the water.
the last picture shows the thin layer of ice very nicely.
I also like the ice in these pictures. Good captures.
i like them a lot.
Those are gorgeous shots.

Somehow ice and water together look colder than ice on its own!
I very much like these pictures! The reflections are lovely, as is the movement of the water...nicely captured...:)
they're beautiful...the ice reminds me of mushrooms.:p

I think I see a heart in the last one.
As usually your photos are fabulous, Judy!
I think they're very pretty...especially the very last one!
HARBOR LIGHTS CHRISTMAS PARADE
My link above for Watery Wednesday. Hope you can stop by for a visit and view. Happy day!!!
Yes, the ice formation around the base of the cattails makes these images interesting.
Very Canadaian looking!Cattails, ice, freezing water, what more could you ask! LOL I think they are great!
Nothing wrong with these images, they are lovely. The subdued light says it is a grey winter's day.
looks like you found the technique to grow ice.
Your ice photos are interesting. I was watching geese skate on an icy pond today. The ice made all sorts of noises too.
Happy December.
