The color and detail is just stunning. I just posted milkweed flowers so it's nice to see another stage.
These are beautiful macros of the milkweed seed. And I say that in spite of all the time my Dad had me pulling milkweed from the corn when I was growing up!
Wonderfully captured!
I would love to have some of those milkweed seeds. With the number of monarch caterpillars here this year... over 300... I essentially ran out of food for them. I "borrowed" some wild milkweed from the botanical garden and will plant those in the preserve. I only had a few pods since the caterpillars ate the flowers as well as the leaves when they got hungry enough.
