The beavers have been cutting down some of the young trees near the river all summer, but this is the first I have actually seen them.
A couple of them were swimming off to breakfast as the light was fading. I did try and photograph the one I saw on land, but there was not enough light, given how far he was from me.

That's the animal on the Oregon state flag! And yes, they can be destructive.
You have done very well considering the light. I blew them up considerably and saw bot the tail and the head. Aren't they agile creatures?!
