Today's Flowers

Two weeks ago, I brought some forsythia branches indoors

so they could bloom earlier than the ones outside.

They are starting to bloom now.

I took the vase outside for a few minutes to photograph them in natural light.

Our forsythia bushes teased us for weeks with 2 blooms. It is now in full color - I love these!

PS is that snow sparkling in the background? I really like the effect!

Great idea! I love forsythia. The ones in the neighborhood (mine included) still don't have buds on them. I'm holding my breath they didn't freeze. Lovely shots, Judy!

I do this each spring too, in anticipation of earlier blooms. Others to do are cherry, honeysuckle, even lilac and apple...it's a bit early here yet, but can't wait. Thanks for sharing your lovely blooms
