They do look different. I have never seen a baby pineapple before. I wonder how they are grown? Are they really babies? I would think that they wouldn't ripen until they are more mature in size...similar to a tomato or a pepper.
Try them Judy and tell us if they are different:)
I love pineapples and the ones in your first photo look really tempting.
