Most of the milkweed we see here is darker, often a purplish color. It is really a lovely bloom and it smells so nice.

Beautiful photography Judy! I'm learning a lot about flowers by reading your blog now! I don't tink I've ever seen milkweed in my area, it's really pretty!
I've only seen the pink too. Love to see the close-ups. The flower buds are about to open in our area soon and then maybe. . .a butterfly?
Thanks for sharing!
This is such a lovely flower - but I have only seen it the last couple of days - from visiting blogs! I don't know if we have it in Norway.
Nice shots.....and hope you see my comment on one of your previous posts!
Wish you a great week!
BBeautiful Flowers , thanks Judy. My computer is being slow at loading, but I have seen many beautiful photos below also...!!
Thanks for visiting my flowers also today.
Wonderful shots. Now we can start looking for butterflies! Yippee!!
I just wanted to add some irony here! I commented above that I'd never seen milkweed...on my walk today, I saw a hummingbird in the pink flowers and wanted to photograph her, lo ad behold she was feeding in the milkweed, thanks for teaching me what that flower was Judy!
Nice post and this enter helped me alot in my college assignement. Thank you as your information.
