Along with the old photos, I found a bunch of negatives, the 2x3 inch size. I have been debating how to capture them.
My first thought was to scatter them,
but I like them better stacked together.

This is a creative way to use old negatives. :)
you can scan them and see what's on them-maybe historical photos?
Oh I like them scattered but stacked is nice too. Great shots. B
I need to organize my old negatives, and also some very old slides. It would be fun to see what is on them.
Yes, I have them all stored in a cardboard box, back into oblivion.
That's cool.
Yes, how I wish these old photos and negatives could tell their stories. Sigh. I like how you have made the negatives themselves into art ... instead of just the contents. When I've been finding these old negatives, I haul out my camera, put it on "macro", then hold the negative in front of a well lit white background. I hold the negative close to the camera, and take a macro shot. Then I use a free photo manip program (Gimp) to "invert". Wah-lah, some wonderful photos I never knew existed!
Like them stacked too. Who will ever see what is on the negatives in the future? If you keep them maybe someone discover a real treasure in some hundred years. ;)
thanks for the tips. I might try it someday. :)
I like your stacks of the negatives.
Such a fascinating subject to photograph. I have lots of these in boxes from years ago. I need to pull them out and see what I can create with them. Thanks for a great idea. genie
