Glad these old fences hang on--even if it's--as in your photos--just a few wires and rotting posts. They help tell the rural story. Excellent closeup shots, great detail.
This is our typical fence post here in Rockbridge County, VA. I see them everywhere and even in our field. Most of it was destroyed when the power company came through to cut back all of the trees. I was so upset. Now we are going to have to cut off the barbed wire, and pull out the posts. What a job that is going to be....will need to do it after some big rains or lots of melted snow. genie
We are still needing to repair fences since Hurrican Irene came by. I heard the dog barking just before dark tonight. When I looked all the goats were in the back yard. Husband clapped his hands and the dog was quick to run them back across the fence. I'm enjoying seeing your fence photos.

My fence is at Time Stand Still.
We've got plenty of fences like this down here in Tennessee.

I saw fences like this here too in MI and so in the Philippines. ^_^ Thanks for the visit!
