Skywatch Friday

The Queen Anne's lace is almost done for the summer, and the flowers are closing up into the bird nest shapes they will hold for the winter.

Always liked QAL, and cannot see it without Bobby D's words coming to mind:
"Purple clover, queen anne's lace,
crimson hair across her face..."
Great shot.

Makes me think of my carrots that went to seed this year. I've never left them in the ground for two years so I was surprised at how big they got and how beautiful the flowers were. - Margy
