Virgins Bower is a wild clematis
found in the eastern half of Canada,
and the USA from Georgia to Kansas.

That is so beautiful! We just have Old Man's Beard growing wild in UK - very pretty but not comparable to yours.
These are beautiful macros. The seed heads are exquisite.
What an interesting seed head! I'm not familiar with Clematis. It sure looks wonderful in that lighting. :D
I love how soft and feathery it looks, and the way the light catches along the edges. Also, the new ehader is nice. Seems fall-ish to me, somehow
What great light--love Clematis in all its domestic & wild forms. Forever will associate it with my wife's Aunt Mary--her open-air front porch was encased in trellises with lovely, fragrant clematis.
