Monday was Thanksgiving Day, and we went for a walk in Gatineau Park, along the Waterfall Trail, near the William Lyon MacKenzie King Estate.
There was a tunnel under the road, and then a little stream coming in from the left.
That stream meandered along beside the trail
with the occasional little fall
or rock formation.
We finally got to the actual falls, after about half a mile.
The sign said that before the source of the stream was dammed,
the sound of the water could be heard a mile away, at the Ruins.
Husband estimated the height of the falls to be 6 to 7 yards. Rather than heading back to the car, we took the other
branch of the path, toward Landriault Lookout.
Then we walked about a mile along the road to get to the parking lot where we had started.
