I am surprised the elderberries have hung on this long. All the ones in this area have been eaten, long ago, by the birds.

Simple! The critters knew they weren't ripe!!!
My parents sang in a choir called the Elderberries. It is a lovely reminder. cheers.
As pretty and juicy looking as those are it shouldn't be much longer before the birds finish the off.
I saw some in a ditch this week but I was going to see the fall foliage and didn't stop. I've regretted it ever since. :)
