We arrived home to discover that the storm which drove north from Texas for Christmas Day
had been an ice storm in the Ottawa area. We only had heavy rain at my parents'.
Yesterday was sunny and mild, so the dogs and I spent the better part of the morning wandering the fields and taking photographs.
The cattails are especially fascinating, as you can still see the softness, although it is encased in ice.
