Columbine

The columbine flowers are blooming in the woods now.

I had never seen them before I found this walking trail,

but they are such unusual blossoms!

It is SO much easier to take photos of the columbines,

 now that I have the Nikon D-60,

 a digital SLR.

 I am loving the manual focus,

 but soon, I will have to learn to do more...

 

Wild Columbine

This is another plant I had never seen before today,

although I could put a name to it as soon as I saw it.

I love the combination of the red and the yellow!
