The Cathedral Supreme peony at the college was in full bloom.

 

Japanese Peonies

These are the peonies that most people have never seen. The first is Largo,

and Gold Standard.

Doreen is a soft pink,

while Cathedral Supreme is the darkest of the lot.

But Butter Bowl describes the shape of the peonies as well as anything I can come up with.
