I brought two pocket watches from my parents'
and have taken the backs off both of them.
I have had a wonderful time photographing them
and playing with the images.
I will take more photos as I continue to disassemble them,
but these are the images I like best,
so far.
Does time still fly if you have lost the hands of your watch?

Pocket watches are a beautiful thing and a great testament to the Newtonian universe. I carried one for many years, lost it (along with my great-grandfather's gold railroad chain) to some grabby bush while bird hunting...
