Thanks for stopping by and identifying my bird, the male hooded merganser. I only wish I could have gotten a closer shot. As it was I had to crop my photo. It is the first one I have ever seen and have enjoyed looking at their images on google. A beautiful bird.

We were walking through the marsh
during the last snowstorm.
Here is Annie, checking out the area around the open water.
And a clump of cattails patiently waiting for more open water.
it looks so pretty (and so cold!) the cattails with the snow are really nice...and Annie looks so cute checking everything out :)
