Black Eyed Susan

Black eyed susans were my grandmother's favourite flower.

I look for them every year.

This cluster of blossoms looks so interesting with the delicate grass on them.

  2. Beautiful photos of a very attractive flower. We have lots of these around here, mostly on the edges of woods, and I'm always delighted to see them bloom.

  3. They are one of my favorites too--and they bloom for a long time. I wouldn't want to be without a couple patches every summer.

The flies are biting and I have been fighting the mosquitoes. I think it is going to rain soon.

I love your blog. You have very beautiful pictures and with you, I can learn the English names of flowers.
For the spiking plant, I agree with the comments : it lookks like much an artichoke.
