Definitely not Windflowers, they look like a wild Hyacinth that has sparser flowers than the cultivated version. Are they perfumed, if they are then they definitely are Hyacinths.
They sure are pretty. I've no idea what they are but whatever they are I assume they are growing from bulbs as not much else flowers this early in your parts (I would think). The single flowers are very lily like but would any lilies flower this early on free land? I'd love to know what they are.
PS. Dogs were delighted to have me all to themselves again even if they get on really well with the two in the neighbour.
