They are so lovely and the light in the first two shots is simply wonderful.
I just picked the remaining snow and ice away from the front wall and there they were sticking up through the ground like little soldiers. Perhaps in a week I have flowering ones too.
With the sun shining, the buds of the crocuses finally had a chance to open.
I counted 11 this morning.
The first flowers of spring in my garden.
But there will be more.

When the crocuses begin to bloom you know there really IS a spring!
