Lake on the Mountain

The first thing to see in Prince Edward County is Lake on the Mountain.

On the top of the hill overlooking the Glenora Ferry,

it is a lovely little lake,

 which continues to baffle the world and scientists alike.

Glenora Ferry

DD and I went on a road trip on Monday, with Prince Edward County as the destination. We entered the County via the Glenora Ferry crossing part of the Bay of Quinte, part of Lake Ontario.

While we were waiting for the ferry, I captured some of the scenery

 and the far shore.

 The ferry arrived, 

 full of cars,

 which disembarked, and we embarked. 

 Yes, that is a tractor hauling something in the right half of the photo.

It was a pleasant, if short, trip.

 

Lighthouse and Heron

DD and I went for a road trip to Prince Edward County on Monday. That is the bit on the north shore of Lake Ontario that sticks out into the lake.

At Wellington, there was a very calm heron, fishing near the lighthouse.
