Dawn Ice

The wind ruffled the small patch of open water, while the rising sun cast its golden light over the whole pond.
Getting closer, you can see the texture of the ice.
A different part of the pond, and the light has changed completely.
I am linking this post with Nature Footstep Catch the Light.

  7. Oh that ice is so beautiful! Fine crystal! Gorgeous. Makes me wish I'd seen this while we were still in Colorado, so I could have tried my hand at this (my cold hand ;)).

  8. Such awesome shots, Judy -- of the light and the frozen pond. It was only a couple of years that I first saw a frozen lake and I was so fascinated. :)

    Once again -- great images!!
