Velvetleaf

I found a stand of velvetleaf plants, at the edge of a field of soybeans.
 About four feet tall,
their most interesting feature is their seed pod.
 It is so different from anything I have seen before.
I wonder what the seeds look like...

    It reminds me rather of a poppy seed head. You'll have to keep going back until the pod is ready to give up its secrets:-)
