There are a couple of fences built like this around tree branches. I wonder how long before the branch outgrows its tiny space, and starts shifting the boards...

Warms my heart to see builders making an effort to protect trees like in your fence photos. Something tells me they'll keep adjusting the fence to keep pace with the tree. BTW, I noticed your moon photos in the previous post. This past week I've done a daily moon shots on both facebook and blog. FB readers have really appreciated the daily moon fix.
This is a very common sight in the Philippines. I think because the people do not like to cut the tree they just put the fence around the tree. ^_^ Nice shot and thanks for the visit!
I guess I might be tempted to do that. Now that I look at it again part of the tree is on either side of the fence. Does the tree and the fence below to the same person? Hmmm....
i have never seen a fence built around a tree....i have seen sidewalks go around them and i am always happy that people have "respect" for the trees!!

I have seen buildings - like restaurants - built round a tree but never a fence! A very odd and interesting idea!
