The Jerusalem artichokes are finally blooming.
They are another member of the sunflower family,
but the preferred part for eating is the tuber, rather than the seeds.
I don't care for them which explains why they are taking over my back yard.
They are a good cut flower, though, and I like the colour, even if they are known in the family as B's favourite yellow flowers.
Sarcastically.
pretty flowers....I love sunflowers...
ReplyDeleteWonderful blooms.
ReplyDeleteThey make a lovely soup with carrots and you don't get the unfortunate side effects when they are cooked this way. An acquired taste but beautiful flowers
ReplyDeletei knew it was those hateful yellow flowers. I can never remember what they're called. They do photograph very nicely though. I like the last shot
ReplyDeleteThey are very bright and cheerful.
