Dutchman's Britches

The Dutchman's britches are all over the woods now.
I even managed to get a couple of stalks of them backlit by the setting sun!
Last time I posted them, someone thought they were bleeding hearts, so I looked it up. Dutchman's britches are a wildflower, Dicentra cucullaria, while bleeding heart is a garden flower, Dicentra spectabilis. They are in the same family, though.

  1. These are georgous!! I envy your wildflowers, as these are on the top of my wish list. I envy your photography skills and your camera! Isn't Spring wonderful? I am taking entirely too many photos, but I want to catch it all. I took some last night against the setting sun too, it was the best part of my day.
