Jade Plant

Every year, I look at the jade plants, and every year I am amazed at the size of them.
Last year, I spoke with one of the professors, and he estimated their age at 25 to 30 years. This one is about as high above the pot as I am tall!

  2. Super plant:-)
I like these -I know them as Money Plants - but never manage to keep them for long. I'd love to have one flower, but I gather they have to be quite mature before that happens.

  3. Judy, you don't want one of those: after a few years they become terribly boring.
You can have mine if you like :-)

  4. These jade plants are beautiful. I received one as a bridal shower gift in 1991- and it grew to be 3.5 feet tall, but the frost got it last year. I was able to salvage big branch and start it again. It is doing well, but I miss my big jade. Even here in northern CA it bloomed. They have huge jade plants that are grown as hedges @ Marine World USA near San Francisco. It is surprising to see them in such a cold place.
