These are the peonies that most people have never seen. The first is Largo,
and Gold Standard.
Doreen is a soft pink,
while Cathedral Supreme is the darkest of the lot.
But Butter Bowl describes the shape of the peonies as well as anything I can come up with.
Oh, I love them all. The Butter Bowl is a beauty, isn't she. Are they as fragrant as the old standards. Mine are pleasing my sense of smell more each year, but still in tight bud form today. I can't wait.
