You should give it a name anyway, otherwise it will feel unloved. The closest aproximations I can find to the colour o fthe buds is either Gold Medal or Red Lion, though neither of them is a very interesting name. I vote we call her Chloe
I was kind of thinking of Big Red, but you are right - Chloe is a much better name.She is visiting a friend right now, but I will label her when she comes home again.

Lady Jane may be gathering her strength for her next run, but the red amaryllis is just starting. I have no idea what variety this one is, though.
