Like silk hanging from the tree, absolutely gorgeous. Nature is so intriguing, marvellous pictures. Many trees shed their bark here, some come off in great thick wads to line a basket or in slivers which leaves the bark underneath new and smooth in beautiful colours. When I grew up we had a very tall birch tree in the garden. I loved everything about this tree perhaps, because there was a swing hanging on a branch!
Absolutely beautiful! I love the way the light shines through the paper thin shreds. We have some very old birch trees here and I love the way the bark shreds and curls.
I really like these pictures of the shredding bark on the birch. I think Birch trees are very photogenic.
ReplyDeleteThe bark is very attractive. I love the texture.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tree next to the maple!
