Mullein

The hairy leaves of the mullein

capture the dew and frost so nicely.

And sometimes they catch milkweed seeds, too.

  1. I think this is what I call lambs ear. It has a purple flower in the spring. It's pretty with the bits of frost on it.

  2. Nice. Especially like the third photo, with the light shining through the leaf

  3. Fantastic macro shots! The delicate frost is almost like lace... and I like how everything is sticking to the leaves--like s dust-catcher! I know this plant as lamb's ears too. Hope to plant some new extra year. Happy weekend :o)

  4. These are just lovely. Thank you for sharing. I remember reading my 2nd grade students a poem about a fairy making slippers out of a mullein leaf. Sounds comfy, doesn't it?

  5. Love the contrast, the velvet mullien and the sting of the frost.

  6. Nice capture of these mullein plants. I'm attracted to their greyish, fuzzy leaves.
