Skywatch Friday

Last month, the elderberries were ripe.

Tiny black berries on a shrub about 8 feet tall, they can be used for pies and jelly.

If you can get to them before the birds.

  5. Beautiful. I am so glad you said what the berries are. They are growing in a park by the ocean in Portland, Maine where I like to walk. I have been trying to find them in my field guides.

    Don't they make a pretty photo against the sky?
