Skywatch Friday

I am taking a lot of photos of the borage flowers just now. In medieval mythology, they were the exact colour of the Virgin Mary's cloak.

  2. So pretty against the blue of the sky. Borage is an intriguing plant. It looks very ornamental and it is edible the flowers and the leaves, which have a slight cucumber taste.
    You photo is delightful, the glistening petals and small, silvery hairs on the plants is all visible. I can understand that you like to take pictures of this great herb.

    I don't know this flower. It certainly is lovely. If mythology is correct, the Virgin Mary was dressed beautifully - I'm sure she was. :)
