Little Green Apples

The apple blossoms are fading memories,

but now the trees are covered with little green apples.

Orange Mullein

At the college gardens, I found a lovely plant called orange mullein.

The bees loved it.

It had so many more blossoms on each stalk than regular mullein.

Black Eyed Susans

The black eyed susans are blooming,

and I was out capturing them,

before the dew was dry yesterday.

Why is the season so short

for so many of the most wonderful flowers?
