We have some very old birch trees here and I love the way the bark shreds and curls.Clytiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18031797083999722788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3459816361712127140.post-44335854880082248352010-02-18T20:24:49.252-05:002010-02-18T20:24:49.252-05:00Birch bark has so many interesting textures. Nature is so intriguing, marvellous pictures. Many trees shed their bark here, some come off in great thick wads to line a basket or in slivers which leaves the bark underneath new and smooth in beautiful colours. When I grew up we had a very tall birch tree in the garden. I loved everything about this tree perhaps, because there was a swing hanging on a branch!Lavender and Vanilla Friends of the Gardenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05403418150146893599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3459816361712127140.post-61976902912058837522010-02-18T12:18:16.560-05:002010-02-18T12:18:16.560-05:00My favorite tree next to the maple! My favorite tree next to the maple!Lorachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05954208521350733469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3459816361712127140.post-18372188668412916482010-02-18T11:56:47.494-05:002010-02-18T11:56:47.494-05:00The bark is very attractive.
