Cleome

I love cleome blossoms.
They are such an odd shape, and so vivacious.

Hibiscus

Time to get some colour back into this blog!!
Hibiscus has a short blooming period here,
so I enjoy it while we have it!
And raindrops make everything look better!
Especially now that we are in the cold weather
before the snows...
I wonder how people lived through winter before there were photographs to lift their spirits?

Box

This is the front of a box my Dad dragged home. I love the carving.  The texture of the finish is interesting, too.

Abstract

I keep looking at this image, thinking I should delete it, but I cannot.
What is your opinion of it?

Dragonfly

Last time I was visiting my Mom, I was returning from a walk, and saw this dragonfly sitting on the sidewalk. The sidewalk was not at all busy, but the street was. I wonder what the drivers thought, as I was lying there with my camera...
I am sharing this with NF Blo-Ma.

Pitcher

This is the pitcher my Grandma used for milk when she lived on the farm. They moved to town before I turned 10, so that was a long time ago. I use it now when I bring the lilacs into the house...

Clematis Seeds

On an October afternoon, after the rain, I spotted this clematis going to seed.
I love the way the sun behind it catches the raindrops!

Butter and Eggs

I am working at getting all the photos I took during the summer edited.
Considering how long butter and eggs blooms, I do not have many photos of it...

Old Pitcher, with Dirt

Another treasure from the depths of my Dad's basement, just the way I found it.

Dawn at the Carp River

We had snow all day yesterday, and then the temperature dropped.
It may look pretty, but it was censored cold!

Shadows

Ottawa has so many buildings made with this stone!
I love the way it affects the shadows!

Dawn Clouds with Geese

Most of the geese have left for the winter,
but some of them are still here.

Patterns in the Ice

It's that time of year again...
I walk first thing in the morning, and the ice on the puddles makes for some interesting images.
And all of them are different...

Broken Mirror

A bit of a dilemma today.
I edited these photos from last year,
and I really cannot decide how to pare the number down any further.
It's a bit of broken mirror, and some grass and the bits from a May birch tree.
