Miss Kitty

I have finally gotten Miss Kitty and the camera together, in the same room.

Today's Flowers

I found some black eyed Susans that still had some colour to them.

Lone Goose

Sometimes a single goose will haunt the pond.

Frozen Chicory Blossoms

Normally, chicory blossoms fade before the sun, but the days have become so short that they are staying open all night, and collecting dew and frost.

Spiderwebs and Dew

Another foggy morning, with the dew
settled heavily on the branches of the sweet clover,
 which is still blooming,
for some reason known only to itself...

Skywatch Friday

We have had a couple of wonderful sunsets this week.
And the redwings are still here, or they were two days ago...

PS. I have entered this post in the meme Orange You Glad It's Friday, so stop and check it out.

NF Waters

I love reflections -
the colours of the sky are so much more intense!
and take the waters!!

NF Blo-Ma #18

This little beauty, from the gardens at the college, is called a cardinal climber.
Like other members of the morning glory family, the blossoms only last the day,
but there are a lot of them.
The leaves are unusual, as well.
Today, I am joining Nature's Footstep
for her macro and flower day.

First Frost

Now that it is autumn,
the temperatures are dropping.
 We have had first frost,
maybe even a little late this year.
 There are still some blossoms,
but the plants will be getting ready for winter,
 and scattering their seeds.

Velvetleaf

I was curious about the blossoms of the velvetleaf,
so I brought a stem home.
 They only last the day,
then develop into seed pods,
and drop the seeds, ready for spring.

Foggy Morning

The sun rose over the houses,
 and cast its golden light
 over the fog
 and the dew.

Cranesbill

The cranesbill, or perennial geranium,
is still blooming in my garden.
The centre is similar to that of a pelargonium, or regular geranium.
