Landscape in Blue and Grey

With my back to the sun,
 and the storm clouds approaching,
 the landscape was sombre.

Skywatch Friday

There was frost on everything this morning,
and the rising sun provided some wonderful lighting effects.

Crow Footprints

I captured these footprints a couple of weeks ago, the last time we had snowfall. Now the surface crust is too thick for birds to make an impression.

Friday's Fences

This may not look much like a fence, but it is a fencepost, as you can tell by the barbed wire.
Since the last time I was in the area, someone has tried to burn it.

I was watching the sunrise, and the silhouettes against the golden light, as I walked the dogs.

Hibiscus

Another hibiscus from the grocery store

Memorial

These silk flowers are attached to a tree
on a curve in the road at one entrance
to the park,
a memorial to someone's loved one.
